Tomorrow's Solutions… Today!
Food Production · Sanitation Grade

One program. Multiple floor types. Zero excuses on the audit.

This program sets the cleaning method, frequency, chemistry, and pass/fail expectation for every square foot of Sealed Concrete, Epoxy / Resinous, Luxury Vinyl Tile, and VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile) in a Perdue food-production facility. Written so an operator can execute it, a supervisor can verify it, and an auditor can score it in under 15 minutes.

Program Rules — non-negotiable
  • Dry sweep or vacuum BEFORE any wet pass — always.
  • Correct pad color for the floor type (see SOP).
  • Neutral pH daily; alkaline only where specified; never acidic on concrete or LVT.
  • Wet-floor signage deployed the moment water touches floor.
  • Cleaning log signed and dated every shift, per zone.
  • Any FAIL on audit = area shut, re-cleaned, re-swabbed, CAPA opened.
Standard Operating Procedures

Floor-specific cleaning method

Epoxy / Resinous

Flake and solid color — locker rooms, break rooms, high-traffic corridors

Floor Type: EPOXY
Typical Locations
Locker rooms, break rooms, high-traffic hallways adjacent to production
Soiling Profile
Animal fat carried in from plant, exterior dirt, footwear residues
Mechanical — Dry
IPC SmartVac 464 — mandatory pre-sweep before any wet pass
Mechanical — Wet
IPC CT15 (<1,000 SF) · CT30 (1,000–3,000 SF) · CT45 (>3,000 SF)
Cleaning Pad
Red buffing pad for daily; blue scrub pad for weekly deep clean. No black pads — will haze finish.
Chemistry
Genesan or Envirox neutral cleaner at label dilution. Chlorinated foam only for weekly sanitize.
Critical Note · Highest-frequency zone. Fat + water without pre-sweep creates a slip hazard. Scrubber-dryer must recover 100% of solution — no wet floors left behind shift change.

What PASS, CONDITIONAL, and FAIL actually mean

PASS — Audit Ready

No visible soil, no streaks, no odor. Dry within 10 min of scrubber pass. ATP <30 RLU on swab. All logs current, signed, dated.

CONDITIONAL

Minor soil in <5% of area OR one log missing signature. Must be corrected same shift. Re-inspected within 24 h.

FAIL — Immediate CAPA

Visible fat film, standing water, missing wet-floor sign, ATP >100 RLU, or 2+ logs missing. Area shut down until re-cleaned and re-swabbed. Corrective Action opened with root cause within 48 h.

Live audit scorecard — police the program

Walk the zone. Mark each item PASS or FAIL. Score updates automatically. 95%+ with zero FAIL = audit ready. 85–94% = conditional (fix same shift). Below 85% or any FAIL on a weighted safety/sanitation item = shutdown & CAPA.
